Legal Updates on Kari’s Law, Drones/UAS, and Public Safety Spectrum

Attorneys with expertise in public safety issues provided insight on legislative and regulatory issues impacting public safety communications. The discussion included updates on Kari’s Law (the requirement that multi-line telephone systems have the ability to call 9-1-1 without having to first dial an extra digit such as “9” for an outside line and provide on-site notification and a dispatchable location with 9-1-1 calls), the use of drones in public safety, and public safety spectrum.
