ASAP Implementations Continue at a Rapid Pace
The Automated Secure Alarm Protocol Goes Live with the Charlotte County, Florida, Hamilton County, Ohio, and City of Bradenton, Florida, Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs)
Charlotte County is the 53rd ECC in the United States and the 6th ECC in the state of Florida to implement the ASAP program. Charlotte County went live July 15 and July 16 with Vector Security, followed by Rapid Response Monitoring, Brinks Home Security, National Monitoring Center, Security Central, Vivint, Protection One, AT&T Digital Life, Guardian Protection Services, Affiliated Monitoring and Tyco (Johnson Controls).
“We are excited to implement the ASAP to PSAP interface between the Alarm Monitoring Association and our Computer Aided Dispatch system,” said Melanie Bailey, Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Communications Manager. “This new process will benefit both the community and agency by reducing the time it takes to process an alarm.”
Hamilton County, Ohio, is the 54th ECC in the United States and the 3rd ECC in the state of Ohio to implement the ASAP program. Hamilton County went live July 23 and July 24 with Vector Security and Rapid Response Monitoring, followed by Brinks Home Security, Security Central, Vivint, Protection One, AT&T Digital Life, Guardian Protection Services, Affiliated Monitoring and Tyco (Johnson Controls).
The City of Bradenton, Florida, is the 55th ECC in the United States and the 7th ECC in the state of Florida to implement the ASAP program. The city of Bradenton went live August 7 with Vector Security and Rapid Response Monitoring, followed by Tyco (Johnson Controls), Affiliated Monitoring, Brinks Home Security, Protection One, Vivint, Guardian, AT&T Digital Life, National Monitoring Center, Alert 360 and Security Central.
Upcoming scheduled ASAP implementations include Broome County, New York; Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia; Hanover County, Virginia; Powhatan County, Virginia; and Fayetteville-Cumberland County, North Carolina.
A session on the ASAP project will be presented at the annual APCO conference in Baltimore on Tuesday, August 13 at 2:45 p.m. in room 301-303 at the convention center.
