City of Arvada Upgrades First Responder Radio System
VERLAND PARK, Kansas – April, 18 2017 – The City of Arvada, Colorado, is developing two new communications sites in support of the city’s first responder P25 land mobile radio (LMR) system. Black & Veatch will design and build the radio towers, shelters, foundations and generators.
The new system will increase interoperability and expand radio coverage. Project design will include engineering support to include site design – fault calculations, diagramming, equipment selection, cable route and shelter layout, and permitting. Construction will include procurement, installation, assembly and system testing.
