Alexandria, VA – Hamilton County Emergency Communications District, TN, has met the minimum training standards for the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International Agency Training Program Certification (P33 Certification) and has been awarded certification as of February 23, 2015.

Public safety agencies utilize the Agency Training Program Certification as a formal mechanism to ensure their training programs meet APCO American National Standards (ANS). Initial and continuing training for public safety telecommunicators is important as they provide essential services to the public in an expanding and rapidly changing environment.

“The APCO Agency Training Program Certification plays a vital role in keeping agencies procedures and training programs up-to-date. Hamilton County Emergency Communications District has shown dedication to their community and those they serve by becoming P33 certified,” said APCO President John Wright.

Hamilton County Emergency Communications District will be recognized during the Food for Thought Luncheon taking place August 19, 2015 as part of APCO 2015, APCO’s 81st Annual Conference & Expo in Washington, DC August 16-19. To obtain a complimentary press pass, please contact Hollann Treber at 571-312-4400 or [email protected].
