Radio Club of America Announces 2014 Fellows
The Radio Club of America (RCA) has announced its full class of 2014 Fellows:
Robert Balais
David Byrum
Paul Mayer
Ralph Singletary
Georggina “Gigi” Smith
Each year, RCA elevates worthy club members to the grade of Fellow in recognition of outstanding achievement and to provide inspiration for current and future members. Fellows are nominated for the position by other RCA members, and approved by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
RCA Fellows are selected based upon their outstanding contributions and extraordinary qualifications in the art and science of radio and electronics. RCA, founded in 1909, is the oldest, most prestigious assembly of radio communications professionals in the world. Its members are dedicated to the wireless art and science for the betterment of public safety, broadcasting, cellular and the uniting of people through innovation and technical advancement.
Many APCO members have earned the honor over the years, and APCO is especially proud to count current president Gigi Smith among their ranks. The new Fellows will receive their Certificate of Elevation to Fellow at the 2014 RCA Awards Banquet in New York City on November 22.
Congratulations to Gigi and to all of this year’s Fellows for this prestigious recognition in honor of your hard work!
