Mutualink to Demonstrate Real-Time Collaboration for Public Safety Officials over Mobile Broadband Network such as FirstNet at APCO 2013
Wallingford, Conn., August 12, 2013 – During APCO 2013, Mutualink, Inc. will demonstrate the capabilities of real-time multimedia collaboration between public safety officials in multiple U.S. locations using a live public safety LTE Band 14 communication network. The demonstration will take place during the APCO 2013 conference, August 19-20, at the Alcatel-Lucent booth #745 as an ng Connect Program member.
Using Mutualink’s secure IP-based interoperability platform operating over an Alcatel-Lucent public safety LTE network solution, such as with FirstNet, public safety officials in New Jersey, Northern California and Las Vegas will collaborate and share multimedia resources in real-time during the show. Locations participating in the live demo are just a few of more than 300 public and private entities nationwide that comprise the Mutualink Interoperable Response and Preparedness Platform (IRAPP). The IRAPP connects first responders as well as Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CIKR) such as hospitals, schools, utilities, shopping malls, and more.
Key Facts:
• Mutualink will demonstrate collaboration with multiple agencies in various locations across the country through a live public safety LTE Band 14 network.
• The demo will feature push-to-talk interoperability with radios, telephones, desktops, and smartphones.
• Real-time secure sharing of multimedia, including video, voice and data, also will be demonstrated.
Mutualink will also be showcasing Google Glass in the booth #745. Please contact Beth Clay at [email protected] to schedule a 10-minute session with Mutualink’s VP of Innovation.
“This demonstration is another proof point of the effectiveness of the IRAPP for resource sharing and real-time collaboration, and how seamlessly it operates with a FirstNet-type LTE network,” said Mark Hatten, CEO, Mutualink. “Mutualink is already delivering these capabilities to hundreds of public safety officials nationwide today, and that number is rapidly growing with our continuing support and enhancement of the FirstNet initiative.”
