• Key technologies used by Houston area 9-1-1 communications provider and others across the U.S. to be displayed at booth #501 during annual TX-APCO/NENA Joint Conference
• Popular “call-to-car” demonstrations to feature comprehensive suite of integrated, mission-critical communications products, including Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) call taking, emergency notification and Land Mobile Radio
• Cassidian Communications to participate as a platinum sponsor at the 2013 Texas-APCO/NENA Joint Conference in Houston, May 19-22, 2013
TEMECULA, Calif., – Cassidian Communications, an EADS North America company, will demonstrate its full public safety communications portfolio, including the technologies used by the Greater Harris County 9-1-1 Emergency Network (GHC 9-1-1) and other mission-critical operations, at the 2013 Texas-APCO/NENA Joint Conference in Houston on May 19-22, 2013. This includes showcasing the company’s Self-Registration Portal (SRP) for the GeoCast® Web™ emergency notification solution, which GHC 9-1-1 implemented earlier this year.
“The Greater Harris County 9-1-1 Emergency Network serves 49 different jurisdictions, including Houston, and is one of our largest 9-1-1 call center deployments,” said Bob Freinberg, CEO of Cassidian Communications. “We are proud to be involved in their great work serving a major metropolitan area and we’re excited to show at this conference how we can likewise help other public safety operations across Texas.”
As a platinum sponsor, Cassidian Communications will also be displaying in booth 501 a number of other solutions, including the VESTA®/Sentinel® 4 NG9-1-1 call taking system and the CORP25 Land Mobile Radio (LMR) network and LTE it offers nationwide.
The VESTA/Sentinel 4 NG9-1-1 communications system, launched in early 2013, was most recently deployed in El Cajon, California, and is now being implemented in several other public safety operations throughout North America. Its user interface is considered a primary building block within Cassidian Communications’ next generation 9-1-1 call processing platform, enabling customers to take a critical first step toward fully-integrated, geospatial, multimedia public safety communications.
The ever popular “call-to-car” demonstration will also be conducted during the Texas-APCO/NENA Joint Conference, to showcase the company’s NG9-1-1 call taking solutions interworking with its LTE devices that deliver integrated voice, data and video communications from the initial 9-1-1 call to response in the field.
“Cassidian Communications has long been a pivotal team member to public safety providers in the Lone Star State and an exhibitor at the annual joint conference,” said Freinberg. “Through our 40 plus years of experience in the industry and use of open-standards technologies, we are continually seeking ways to make Texas communities safer, as well as those throughout North America and around the globe.”
