New West Coast Dealership for the Liberty Multiband Land Mobile Radio

Company Representative July 5, 2012 Product & Service Announcements
Puget Sound Instrument Company Now Represents Seattle-Tacoma Washington Metro Area

Leading two-way radio and marine electronics firm, Puget Sound Instrument Company, Inc. (PSI), is the latest dealership to sign on for Thales Communications, Inc. of Clarksburg, MD, and their Liberty Multiband Land Mobile Radio (LMR). The Liberty Radio is a software-defined, portable LMR that enables emergency responders to communicate with partner agencies, regardless of radio frequency band. It enables multi-agency communications in all of the public safety frequency bands–136-174, 380-520, 700, and 800 MHz—and operates in Project 25 (P25) conventional, P25 trunked, and legacy analog modes with DES, AES, and OTAR. The radio is both J/F-12 and intrinsic safe certified. It has a MILSPEC metal housing and is submersible to two meters. Very importantly, it is easy to use, easy to train, and quick to deploy.

PSI, founded in 1965, is a premier provider of two-way radio communications, marine navigation, surveillance and wireless communications based in Seattle-Tacoma. Thales selected PSI because of the company’s high customer satisfaction ratings and attention to detail. The company provides equipment and services to over 5,000 businesses and government agencies including numerous fire and police departments, universities and municipalities.

Tough Mission . . . Tough Radio!
