Hundreds of Two-Way Radios from BearCom Help Power Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival

Event is Among Many for which Organizers Look to BearCom to Deliver Great Customer Service and the Finest Equipment Available

May 11, 2011: Dallas, TX—BearCom, a nationwide provider of wireless communications equipment and solutions, supplied more than 1,500 two-way radios to organizers of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival held last month in Southern California, where Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Radiohead, and the Black Keys were among the 120-plus artists performing. Coachella is the most recent example of the large events for which BearCom is the preferred supplier of two-way radios and other wireless communications technologies.

BearCom has provided radios for some of the nation’s most prestigious events, including the Super Bowl, the World Series, and the NBA All-Star Game, as well as Tennessee’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and the South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival in Austin, Texas. At the recent Academy Awards, BearCom debuted the smartphone-like SL7550 that had just been made available from Motorola Solutions.

“The largest events in the country are turning to BearCom, and not only because of our ability to provide high-quality equipment and great service,” said BearCom’s Executive Vice President Brent Bisnar. “They talk about how we handle everything for them, as well as the value they get for the dollars they spend.”

From concerts to conventions and sporting events to corporate meetings, two-way radios are a staple. Rather than buying radios, many event organizers are choosing to the rent their equipment. Renting gives them access to the latest technology, choice of features, and the assurance that the equipment is all in good working order.

Bisnar said that three radios stand out for customers looking to rent equipment:

•           The Motorola XPR6550 is part of the MOTOTRBO system that delivers more performance, productivity and value. With its digital technology, MOTOTRBO offers increased capacity and spectrum efficiency, integrated data communications, and enhanced voice communications.

•           The Motorola/BearCom BC130 is manufactured by Motorola and offered exclusively by BearCom. It’s compact and lightweight, and it features a rugged, die-cast chassis, 16 channels, and 5 watts of power in VHF and 4 watts in UHF.

•           The Motorola CP200 is available with four or 16 channels. It’s easy to use, lightweight, and durable. It offers up to four programmable features and X-Pand technology for crisp, clear audio.

“These three models are very popular,” Bisnar added, “but BearCom offers plenty of other options and can fashion a solution that meets virtually any communications need. We take real pride in assisting at some of the country’s most-watched events.”
