Cross Country Automotive Services & ATX Group Join to Form Agero

Company Representative December 5, 2011 Product & Service Announcements

On Monday, Cross Country Automotive Services and ATX Group, will join forces to form a new company, Agero, and top executives are available to discuss the transition and what it means to OEMs, insurance carriers, the safety community and consumers.

Since Cross Country’s acquisition of ATX in 2008, the companies have been working to integrate their technological assets and areas of expertise. They’ve completed the process and emerged as the only company that can handle complete mobile emergency management, from crash emergency response notification, to roadside towing, insurance claims, vehicle rental, etc. getting consumers back on the road quicker, claims resolved faster for insurance companies and drivers, and enhanced owner loyalty for automakers.

Recently launched services include:

  • Voice-based advanced automatic collision notification for BMW that utilizes data from in-vehicle crash sensors and customer-provided information to predict the likelihood of severe injury to the vehicle’s occupants.
  • Roadside Connect mobile phone app for consumers to check status of a tow truck
  • Just announced business with Nissan, Infiniti Connection®, will provide Infiniti owners with location-enabled safety, security, and convenience via Agero’s connected vehicle platform.
  • The first and largest North American roadside program for electric vehicles, with the August 2011 deployment of mobile, electric vehicle recharging systems.
