Company Representative June 1, 2011 Product & Service Announcements
New computer-aided dispatch system to facilitate quick, coordinated multi-agency response

SAN DIEGO, CA (May 26, 2011) TriTech Software Systems, the leading provider of public safety and medical transport solutions, announces that the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma, has signed a contract for its VisiCAD computer-aided dispatch system. The selection of TriTech provides an upgraded CAD system for Tulsa’s Public Safety Communications Center to facilitate quick and effective emergency response for the City of Tulsa’s Fire and Police Departments.

TriTech will provide its VisiCAD computer-aided dispatch solution to minimize response times and improve operational efficiencies for the Tulsa Public Safety Communications Center. As a map-centric system, VisiCAD features live routing capabilities to provide Tulsa’s telecommunicators with unit recommendations based on closest available unit by fastest estimated drive time. By analyzing the street network and assessing the drive time of each of the appropriate units, emergency response times for are minimized.

The upgraded VisiCAD system also provides interoperability and seamless information sharing with Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA), the City of Tulsa’s provider of emergency medical services. EMSA similarly utilizes VisiCAD in its communication centers and will be able to integrate with City of Tulsa’s VisiCAD system via a CAD-to-CAD interface. By operating on the same communications platform, the City of Tulsa and EMSA will be able to share critical incident information and view locations and statuses of each agency’s units to coordinate joint emergency response. By working on a similar platform, the City of Tulsa will recognize important operational and communication efficiencies through the real-time, immediate sharing of information.

“The City of Tulsa, like many other cities throughout the nation, is making critical investments in technology to help them balance the increased demands on services with reduced staff and vehicle resources,” says Chris Maloney, president and CEO of TriTech Software Systems. “VisiCAD helps communication center staff manage the overwhelming amount of information coming into the center and their resources to provide swift and efficient emergency response. Through the VisiCAD information sharing initiative with EMSA, the City of Tulsa will further maximize operational efficiencies by providing quick, coordinated multi-agency emergency response to the citizens of Tulsa.”
