Breakthrough Portable Charging Case makes Command Posts and Emergency Operations More Organized and Efficient

Company Representative March 7, 2011 Product & Service Announcements, Technology

EOCCFramingham, Ma. — Global Technology Systems Inc. (GTS), the leader in battery pack, charger design and manufacturing, power management technology, and the exclusive worldwide manufacturer of Honeywell Batteries, has announced that it will make its first public showing of the newly designed Emergency Operations Charging Case (EOCC) at the IWCE (International Wireless Communication Expo) held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, on March 9th–11th at Booth #7059.

The charging case is a  more organized and efficient means to simultaneously charge 18-24 two-way radio batteries for Command Posts, Daily and Emergency Operations, and supports  Motorola XTS2500 / 3000 / 3500 / 5000 or the Harris/MA-Com P7100/7300 series radios.  The Charging Case will charge multiple two- way radio battery chemistries, including Nickel Cadmium (NiCd), Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH), Lithium Ion (Li-Ion), and Lithium Polymer (Li-Poly) batteries.

Built for Mission Critical Applications, the EOCC is easily transportable.
This EOCC charges 18 to 24 portable radio batteries within 2.5–5 hours. This charging unit is easily portable with integrated wheels.  The charging case is water resistant, dust proof and crush proof with an IP66 Marine rating. The Emergency Operations Charging Case (EOCC) operates in extreme temperatures to ensure optimal performance in mission critical applications.

“At GTS, we pride ourselves on building custom power management applications to solve customers’ problems”, said Scott Benezra, Vice President, of Global Technology Systems. “Our EOCC case was developed at the request of emergency operation field personnel within the United States military who have a real need to maintain communications in remote locations  in theater or when responding to natural or other disasters and must rely on whatever power is available. The Emergency Operations Charging Case (EOCC) was designed to deliver mobile power quickly and efficiently allowing for charging from an AC outlet, DC generator, or Humvee.”
