Sign up for an APCO Committee

APCO International February 1, 2011 APCO

Although July is several months away, it’s time to begin organizing APCO International’s standing committees for the 2011–2012 year. Committee appointments coincide with the APCO fiscal year, beginning in July. To allow adequate time to make committee appointments so committees can begin operating on July 1, we must start the sign-up process now and receive your committee assignment requests.

No committee appointments or reappointments are automatic. All committee members, including the chairs, will be selected from those who volunteer through the APCO Web site.

How to Sign Up
Go to www.myapcointl.org, and click the “Committee Sign up” link on the left. You’ll be asked to log in using your e-mail address and password.

You can volunteer for up to three committees. All committee selections must be completed online by April 15. If you encounter difficulties, contact APCO Headquarters at 888/272-6911.

We need you: Our committees are integral to our association’s success. They directly help us meet our goals and fulfill our mission, as well as provide an opportunity for members to serve both their fellow APCO members and the public safety communications community.

Study the list, determine where you can contribute, make a commitment to serve, and sign up. We will try to assign the most qualified members to handle the responsibilities and tasks involved. We also strive to assign members who haven’t served on a committee before and are interested in working on national issues.

Thank you for your continuing interest in serving APCO International.
