National 9-1-1 Education Month

APCO International December 1, 2010 APCO
Your input requested

National 9-1-1 Education Month is closer than you think! The planning process is underway to make April 2011 the best 9-1-1 Education month yet. Rather than reinvent the wheel, the National 9-1-1 Education Month Coalition (NENA, APCO, the E9-1-1 Institute, NAED, and others) would like to tap the creativity that already exists. Let us know what has already been done in your area with regard to 9-1-1 educational messaging, themes, slogans and/or logos.

There are three questions that will take just a few minutes of your time to answer and help us to better promote 9-1-1 awareness.

  • What 9-1-1 themes are you currently using or have previously used in your public awareness efforts?
  • As a 9-1-1 professional, what message(s) do you believe are important to communicate to the public during National 9-1-1 Education Month?
  • Do you have any ideas for 9-1-1 education themes for National 9-1-1 Education Week – April 2011?

Please email your answers at your earliest convenience to Sonya Lopez Clauson, ENP, Chair of the NENA Public Education and PSAP Training Committee.

Thanks for your participation and we look forward to your input!
