Midland Radio Corporation Awarded U.S. Navy Blanket Purchase Agreement for P25 Equipment

Kansas City, Mo. — Midland Radio Corporation recently received notification of award from the U.S. Navy for a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) valued at up to $5,500,000.00. The five-year BPA, which runs from October 28, 2010 through October 27, 2015, includes Midland’s P25 VHF and UHF mobile radios, VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz base stations and repeaters, and all associated options and accessories.

“Midland is excited about the opportunity to provide our P25 equipment to the U.S. Navy,” stated Scott Henderson, Vice President LMR Sales.  “With this expansion into the military sector, Midland continues to grow its federal contract offerings which also include a General Services Contract, a U.S. Department of Interior Blanket Purchase Agreement for Land Mobile Radio equipment, and a U.S. Department of Justice contract for Land Mobile Radio Subscriber equipment.  These contracts reflect Midland’s growing presence as a leading supplier of state-of-the-art communications equipment for our federal government and the public safety community,” commented Henderson.
