Caller says, ‘Why did you pull a gun on me?’

By Mona Moore, Daily News
Fort Walton Beach, Fla. — A woman called 9-1-1 when her husband of two years pulled out a gun after they had an argument.

Brian Demonds Richardson, 27, never pointed the gun at his wife, but she said she feared for her life during the Sept. 26 incident.

Dispatchers heard the woman say, “Why did you pull a gun on me?” and “You went too far” as they monitored the open line for 50 minutes. The incident started at 4:30 p.m.

After 50 minutes had passed, the woman picked up the phone, identified herself and gave the dispatcher her address.

A deputy arrived at 5:43 p.m. Richardson, a Hurlburt airman, was read his rights and he refused to answer any questions.

Richardson was charged with domestic-violence-related aggravated assault, a third degree felony.
