Personal 9-1-1 App from Chill List

Company Representative October 15, 2010 Product & Service Announcements

Austin, Texas — Chill List, a new iPhone application, uses social networking to boost the power of 911 emergency communications.  Introduced by Chill List LLC, the new app combines 911 communication with notification to family, friends, children and groups during an emergency. The launch comes just in time for the fall semester to ensure that family’s stay connected when it counts.  It is immediately available for download for the iPhone.

Chill List is designed by Peter Teliha, a veteran first responder, who has aided thousands of ordinary people in emergency situations.  Teliha understands the importance of emergency planning and recognized the power in connecting 911 to people’s existing social networks.  The app lets a user create a Chill List from existing contacts, customize alert messages and links everything via a simple 911 dashboard.  Chill List will retail for $2.99 from the iTunes App Store.

“Families always want to stay connected,” said Teliha, founder and CEO of Chill List, LLC.  “911 is the priority in an emergency but knowing your First Responders, Campus Police and your loved ones are informed, helping, or on their way can have a powerful, calming effect on the entire incident.”  Simple for the entire family to use; with just one touch of the Call 911 button an alarm will sound for your protection, your entire List will be notified and 911 will be called.

Studies have shown that lost productivity from personal emergencies are costing industry hundreds of millions of dollars per year in lost productivity.  Over 240 million 911 calls are made in the US annually.

Chill List turns your iPhone into a powerful  emergency management tool that can improve individual safety and potentially advance local 911 dispatching information sharing and Home Land Security Emergency Management protocols.  With Chill List users become an integral part of the emergency communications loop with the power to notify multiple vital agencies at once.

Chill List leverages personal mobile communications devices and the power of social networks to allow for quicker family notification, alert messaging and map tracking for the individual user.  Additional features include an “In Case of Emergency” (ICE) Profile and “I’m Ok’ buttons to provide additional peace of mind for family and friends. As 911 systems advance, Chill List is poised to be a leader in mobile critical information sharing. The iPhone, with its millions of users, was the launch platform of choice.  For more information visit www.chilllist.com.
