News Sentinel (Knoxville, Tennessee)
Cocke County’s E-911 director has been indicted on a charge of official misconduct for allegedly using a driver’s license database for personal use, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Kathy Cody, 48, of Newport, was arrested by TBI agents today, following a grand jury’s indictment, according to a news release from TBI spokeswoman Kristin Helm.
The indictment followed a TBI investigation initiated at the request of 4th Judicial District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn’s office in August.
Cody allegedly accessed the Tennessee Driver’s License database for personal use in September 2011, according to Helm.
Cody was booked into the Cocke County Jail today in lieu of $5,000 bond.
